Flash upload proxy setting?

Does the flash upload use separate proxy settings than Firefox?

I ask because at work I have to delete the proxy settings out of the prefcalls.js file to allow me to access the internet with Firefox, otherwise the setting is locked out in the options menu.

Here is what happens when I try to do an upload at work: the flash module loads and I select the picture to upload, it proceeds to 100%, then I get a proxy logon prompt. The upload never completes no matter what login I put it.

I use to get the same proxy logon prompt before I set firefox to no proxy.

Thanks in advanced for anyone's help!

EDIT

I looked in var/logs/2009-03-06.log.php and found this entry:
2009-03-06 10:37:06 -07:00 --- error: Uncaught Exception: @todo FORBIDDEN in file core/helpers/access.php on line 176

As far as I know, it doesn't use separate proxy settings. We're revising the flash uploader for the next release, try again when we put out Alpha 3.
