Duplicating sub albums

I regularly use an album that has 7 sub albums: Can I create this once and then duplicate before images are added?

I thought I had achieved this by doing it in the cPanel File manager. The new album with sub albums appears in the file tree but when I go back to Gallery2 just the original album is there but the duplicated ones cannot be seen. If I then try and add an album with the same new name in Gallery2 using the dropdown menu item "add Album", it tells me there is already an album of that name!

I have been into Maintenance and flushed the template cache, no effect.

Am I missing out a step somewhere?

Any advice welcome.

You have to add albums using the UI. you can't just add items to the g2data/albums directly.

Thanks Dave, It was a conclusion I was coming to but didn't want to come to! But you have confirmed my thoughts. I've now got some tedious repetitious work ahead!
