Portuguese Language in EXIF/IPTC Module

Hi!

I'm changing my web site from Jalbum to Gallery2, but cannot solve this problem:

My site is in Portuguese and everything works fine except the EXIF information, because it doesn't accept portuguese character's like Ç; or à or È, etc.

Example: The caption should appear CN Trial - Paços de Ferreira but it appears CN Trial - Pa殳 de Ferreira

Can someone please help me with this problem?
