Help.. Need to change URL

I recently installed and setup a new gallery with checkout module and checkout by paypal plugins installed... this is for Gallery 2.3 I just realized i made the wrong URL where it is normally just /gallery2.. I need to change that URL asap since the site goes live later tonight. Is there a way i can easily change that, or will it just be easier to start over from scratch???? thanks! |

i gave this a shot.. started to look ok, but some things are still pointing to my old URL.. like trying to login to gallery via admin ID, etc.. any suggestions?

That link also has instructions on how to clear the cache if you can't access site admin. Clear session cookies as well.
Did your g2data directory happen to also be under your /foto/ or /gallery2/ directory? If so read over these instructions to make sure you got everything:

well, foto was the old name.. From the get go, i had the gallery dir set to foto.. but i have changed that successfully using the first link u gave me.. i renamed the directory in FTP....made the changes in config file.. Then overwrote the file on the ftp side..gallery looked good.. Thought i was done...i go to log in screen......put in my info then click LOGIN then i received that error
I just did all the steps to clear cache..no luck

ok,. i was able to get into site admin by manually altering the URL in address bar to new path.. But i dont think i want to keep having to do that right? lol.. We do appreciate your help....any ideas how to fix that login deal?

Still no luck.. I am in the site admin > Maintenance screen. I go to hit RUN NOW on any of the tasks such as "Delete template cache".. After i hit RUN now, i am getting a very similar error to before.. still pointing to old directory name.. I am assuming its related to my other problem of logging in

Do you happen to be using URL Rewrite? If so, try going to Site Admin > URL Rewrite and re-save the settings making sure that Gallery can write to the .htaccess file.
If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the URL Rewrite plugin, clear the database and template cache, then reinstall URL Rewrite and reconfigure it.
If that doesn't work, post or PM your website URL and I'll see if I can see anything right off the bat.
