Display Gallery2 Images by Taxonomy Terms

Dear all,

like the description of this topic already said, I would like to pick Images from Gallery 2 by drupal's taxonomy terms. For example: There is an Album called "AAA" in Gallery 2 and a taxonomy term "AAA" in Drupal. On the node, categorized as "AAA", I would like to show G2 Images which are tagged (i.e. by Image Description) "AAA".
Some months ago, I realized this function by using Gallery 2's Search function (_gallery_search_pager_search()), described in gallery_search.inc of the G2 Drupal Module in my own *.tpl.php. Since it isn't possible any more to use "_" Functions directly in Template files anymore, I'm wondering how to do this.
