Slideshow does not work in embedded gallery

I am running drupal 6.5 and gallery2 2.3RC2, and I think I got everything working now, except that it won't show the slideshow. When I click the slideshow link, nothing happens. It works in the standalone gallery, but not in the embedded gallery. Also, I don't know if it makes any difference, but the fullscreeen slideshow IS working both standalone and embedded.

I have tried changing and turning the Clean URLs on and off, to no avail. I also tried the maintenance scripts to clear the cache, rebuild thumbs, etc.

Help?

Try disabling the URL Rewrite for the slideshow to see if that fixes it

I tried both disabling the plugin and disabling the specific rewrite rule for the slideshow, and neither made any difference. I also tried to change the rewrite rule so that the link location for the embedded slideshow is the same as the location for the standalone, but that didn't work either.

Is the rewrite rule for the slideshow still disabled? If not, can you disable again and post back when that's done. I'd like to look at the url path it's putting there.

Yes, the url rewrite rule is back to its default value.

Another update, it appears that my rss feed is not working right... I get an error in my rss feed when in the embedded gallery, but it works fine through the standalone. I will update if I find anything else

Your links are still showing as the URL Rewrite formatted links. Make sure it's disabled and the .htaccess file has been updated. Try clearing your cache: Site Admin > Maintenance > Delete Database and Template cache.

I have the slideshow rewrite rule disabled right now, I am not sure why it shows up differently for you, but this is the link that i get:
