Does Gallery-5.x module work with Gallery 2.3?

Gallery2 ver. 2.3 is getting closer and closer to final and I have started looking into upgrading my Gallery2 installation but is the drupal module Gallery module (5.x) working with 2.3? -- |

Hi,
gallery2 v2.3 RC2 works fine with Drupal 5.x - except the bad thing, that, if activated, the Gallery Module seems to block drupal's search function (see here: http://drupal.org/node/307525). But I think that's a problem which existed in Gallery2 v2.2, too.
We're using G2 v2.3 RC2 with Drupal 5.11 at http://www.bitbunnys.de/gallery.
