Hi guys i'm looking for a program or a script to add images in gallery2. I wanna take the directory name and assume it to the album name.... Is that possible?
You can do this with ZIP files and using the "From Local Server" upload method. You might also be able to do this with Gallery Remote http://gallery.menalto.com/wiki/Gallery_Remote but I haven't used that in so long I can't remember.

Then use the other method I suggested. I know that works as I use it all the time. Looks like I've got to install GR again and take and get use to it again.
Install the "add items" and "archiveupload" plugins.
Create an "upload" directory on your server and specify that directory in Site Admin > Import > Web/Server
Zip your files on your local computer and upload them to that upload directory.
Finally Add Items and select the From Local Server tab.
