Remove the hyperlink that displays a image in full size

When displaying an image, you may click on it in order to view it in full size.
The url looks something like this: g2_itemId=239&g2_imageViewsIndex=1

After browsing through all of the template-files I can't the place where the hyperlink is defined.
I want to either remove it completely, or maybe even better add a target _blank in order to display it a new window, not breaking my theme....

Thanks for suggestions where to find the hyperlink-code.

If you don't want users to see the full sized image set permissions so that can't see it.
as for target _blank search for 'new window' or popup new window. asked and answered before.
