Functionality and Search questions.

I am researching the benefits of integrating Gallery2 into my Drupal site. Can anyone tell me what if any Gallery2 functions are lost by integrating? Also, will the default Drupal search function search Gallery2 as well once it is integrated? Thanks for any help you can give.

1. You are not loosing G2 functions by integrating it with your Drupal site. There are some plugins that are not recommended, because their functionality is replaced by Drupal. There are also some plugins that are difficult to handle in embedded mode for JS/CSS conflicting reasons. However that is highly theme-dependent and most features will still be available in embedded mode.
2. Yes, search is integrated as well.

Is it possible to search in gallery parallel to drupal search? (Drupal 5).

At the moment "gallery search" is offered in the result page from drupal. So you have to click twice: First for drupal search and then the "gallery"-link on the result page.

Yes my question too. I don't mind the search result page staying as it is, just 'gallery' should be selected automatically and preferrably we should be able to rename that tab to anything we'd like. (My 'gallery' isn't called gallery you see.)
Or is this possible already and is it just me not knowing this?
