Unable to snyc users

I used the auto install of Powweb to install G2. It went fine and I'm able to add albums and pics. Next I installed JoomlaLib with out issues. Then I installed the Bridge and had to manually set the paths as the wizards did not work. After setting up the Bridge component, I went to User Manager. I have three users on my Joomla site and all are listed as "User doesn't exist in Gallery 2 or isn't mapped". I select one or all of the users and tell it to sync. The sync progress bar comes and up and stops at about 1/4 of the way. It just sits after that.

If I browse back to the User Manager page and try and click on a user for more details, I get this set of errors...

An error occurred, here is the Gallery 2 Error:

Serbanc, thanks for the reply. Is this just an updated version of the same bridge or a totally new one? I did not see a .zip version of it... can Joomla still upload and install it though the backend? Sorry, I'm still pretty new to all this stuff.

same bridge, some bug fixes (like yours) and some features added.
There is a thread describing it on this forum.

the files are .tgz. normally, j should be able to install if your hosting server knows how to manage tar.gz files.

serbanc it sounds like I have the same problem and I'd like to try your solution. However, I'm not sure which file in the link that you provided I need. Would you mind providing the file name that I need to download? Thanks.

com_gallery2.tgz for the component
mod_* for various modules
note: if your server is unable to manage .tar.gz files, download it on your pc, unpack it with something like 7z, pack as zip and continue.

I installed the component you linked, It solved one problem, now I can sync the users to CB/ joomla. But when I login, it is not logging in to Gallery as well. In fact if I try to login to the gallery manually, I keep getting incorrect password error.

Anyone knows a fix for this?

G2 is so F*in buggy! After ran the new mod, thank you for that, i get this error.

Same as oazanki, can no longer log into my gallery by accessing it directly, OR through Joomla. Not only that, it is not setting up the directories properly, i use sub domain http://www.houseofelectronicmusic.com/g2/ it is in the component properly but not transmitting.

Any suggestions? I really do like the gallery...

Dear all,
Please note that as of J1.0.13, the password encryption method had changed, the new version being incompatible with G.

For this reason, you cannot log in to G standalone.

ok, thanks. Now if I could only access the gallery through Joomla. Looks like i'm screwed, another uninstall; and i really didn't want to use coppermine. Any one available to take a look at my issue before I do so, possibly help me fix?

I have a Joomla 1.0.15 Installation with Gallery 2.2.2. A long time ago i bridged it with old g2 bridge and updated now to serbancs bridge. Everything is fine and 112 of 112 users are processed but i got the same error as rjdjohnston describes:

It wouldnt hurt me, if i hadnt installed now a fresh gallery 2.2.4 and bridged it with com_gallery2_2.0.14_serbanc on joomla 1.0.15 and – Everything is syncing without an error…

May be its just an cosmetic issue because everything is running well, but do I have a chance, to eliminate this error?

By the way, in old menalto, where the error occurs, are following groups:
Jeder
J_Administrator
J_Author
J_Editor
J_Manager
J_Publisher
J_Registered
J_Super Administrator
Registrierte Benutzer
Site-Administratoren

and in new menalto without error there are these groups:
Administrator

I wondered if this could be all correct…?
