X_treme - linking directly from home page to first image photo with microthumbs

I'm very impressed with the X_treme theme! Thank you Pedro! I'd like set it up so when you click on an image on the home page, you skip the page with all the thumbnails for that album (1st page - Gallery) and go directly to the first image with microthumbs of different angles of the product on display. From there it would be behave as it does now. In case I'm not explaining this clearly here's a much fancier version than I need of what I'm describing: http://www.fmwest.com. Is this possible? |

I'm looking for exactly the same function but have had no joy yet.
Hope someone can help. If not then i'll have to up my php and smarty skills.

Have you had any success in figuring this out? My PHP skillset is very limited at this point and smarty skills non-existent. We can't be the only ones wanting to do this, can we!!??

Let me make sure i have this correct...
When you click on an Album Thumb, on the 1st page in Gallery, you want it to open the 1st picture (or the highlighted picture) in the album, instead of the album itself?
If that is correct, then that is more of a Gallery function, than a theme one.

That is correct, Dragonsys. I've just recently come across a way to do this. In the Gallery Theme options - Album: All pages section, I set "ALBUM - Global :: Link Albums directly to photo pages" to "Clicking a thumbnail" and Voila! it goes straight to the first picture with the microthumbs showing on the right.
The only thing not quite right is that the breadcrumbs have three links: the main page, the Album, and that first picture that you're. I'd prefer it skipped that middle link. But that's a small gripe to me now that I've got this going.
