Integration with existing website templates (embedding)

Hi

I have just downloaded and successfully installed gallery 1 onto my server (Task1) 2nd task was to integrate the gallery within or under my website template. My first attempt was to create a php page using my template called gallery.php and saved it at the top level of my site and inside and add the line of code

<?php include "gallery/albums.php";?>

which worked for the albums page however when you click on the ablum you wish to view you get fired out into a seperate new window and lose the template.. is there a way to call in all gallery pages into the initial gallery.php file???

I look forward to any help or suggestions on where to start..
