READ ME!

Hey all. Please feel free to post any and all suggestions/feedback that you have about Gallery in this forum. The Gallery dev team will definitely read your suggestions and consider them. However, please don't feel slighted if we don't respond or implement your feature request right away. There are over 500 feature requests in the <!-- BBCode Start --><A HREF="http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=357130&amp;group_id=7130&amp;func=browse" TARGET="_blank">Feature Request database on SourceForge</A><!-- BBCode End --> and we just don't have time to implement them all. We don't even have time to respond to them all.

One of the main reasons why we're writing G2 (Gallery 2.0) is to provide a better framework so that it'll be easier to implement new features. Gallery 1.0 is just an experiment I started writing one day that escaped into the wild before I could hunt it down and shoot it. It works and is stable and pretty fast, but under the covers it's got all kinds of problems and issues that make it hard to really use it as a solid platform for new features. And it's terrible, terrible code. G2, however, is going to be a rock solid enterprise level piece of software that will have plenty of room for an insane number of features. It'll be worth the wait. Remember that I and the rest of the team have got a day job and kids at home so although we try as hard as we can, we don't always meet the deadlines we set for ourselves.
