how do I add the lightbox to the matrix theme?

When I attempt to go here, it wants to upgrade your gallery - I cannot see how to add lightbox to matrix...

Could someone post a bit more detail - sorry if I have missed it elsewhere...newbieness...

Thanks but the themes that were included in the related zip files for that post don't quite work completely. When clicked, it displays full size images in lightbox and it also attempts to open albums into lightbox, but never returns anything...just runs the spinning loading image.

Then try a theme that it does work with ( PGlightbox , optical pork come to mind.)

I preferred to use the matrix theme as it appears to be more intuitive for the users. I have searched pretty extensively and there doesn't seem to be a clearly posted solutions - short of starting from scratch and integrating and configuring myself - which I had hoped to avoid. I just migrated a CPG site to Gallery with over 3000 pictures and there are 3 other clients that have larger galleries that I thought would be interested, but I really didn't want to have to reinvent something that others appear to have working...just can't find clear docs.

Thanks for your help though.

You don't have to reinvent it . There is some mods to fix the full size:

as for albums you could alway not use the that theme for albums that have albums or edit the theme to the way you think it should work.

Ok. I fixed half of the problem.

1) refers to

and it should have title="{$child.name} - this is likely a difference in the gallery versions (mine is 2.2.1)
2) the modifications to the theme are not compatible with lightbox2.03.3

The only thing left for me now is the resize problem...I imagine that it is a like problem with versions of the gallery (i.e. column names).
