so here i go again, i install gallery 2 a go well so well, then i want to set netpbm and ffmepg and appears problems, i upload to my root server, netpbm and try with all the binaries of ffmepg i found and alwaays i faund the same problem this is the debug report

so i install the binaries in de gallery2 folder on my server an put the path an allways the same answer there is no binary on this path.
i change de chmod also
a i dont know what can i do

Looks to me like you entered the wrong path.
Does the ffmpeg binary work from the comand line?
Did you compile the ffmpeg binary yourself or did you find a precompiled binary for your server?
The title says netpbm as well...what is the trouble with netpbm?

thanx for answer, i dont compile anithing i dont know how yo do.
about netpbm it pass only 1 of the 4 test, and for that keeps in the opcion configure
if i put the binaries in gallery2 folder the path must be "http://webroot/gallery2/netbpm/" is that correct?
about de ffmpeg, i took diferent versions of ffmpèg i found in the forum,is some place in the web where i can fond the binaries working for linux apache server?.
because in the ffmepg page are no binaries. or is some other alternative thats working well with gallery? what about mplayer?. it is good?

No. Path is similar to your config.php setting for where you put the g2 data directory.
like
$gallery->setConfig('data.gallery.base', '/home/user/langleyc/g2data/');You have to compile it for your server if the pre compiled versions don't work. Each server is configured differently and have dependencies of other libraries on the server.
Same with mplayer you have to compile it on your server of find one that works for your server.
Ask you host to install ffmpeg for you and ask them for the path when they are done.
Ask you host if they have ImageMagik installed and if they do what is the path.
If they don't then there is netpbm from the download page on this site.

i have 2 more question,
1 its something i need to write in the config.php that i forgot?
2 how i compile the ffmpeg for my server? in fact how i compile something?
i try to a new path similar to the g2data, but doesent work

1. no. You need to find the path to where you installed the binary.
2. get ffmpeg and read the install directions If you only had ftp access you will not be able to compile ffmpeg or mplayer

floridave thanx for answer, finally install fmpeg but not suport any tipe of video, in the test results i found this

only support mpeg, is that normal?

i found something, depend of the navigator (dont try with asf movies)
in ie everything go bad except mpeg movies (mov and wmv appears to download)
in firefox everything go well (nothing new, jaja)
in netscape everything go well (dont try with mpeg)
in opera only quicktime movies go well (dont try mpeg)

Embedded support for movies is better in 2.2.
Download movie option is in 2.2 as well.

the download movie option only apears if the sistem dont recognize de movie format, but if it is, the button dont appera , if i want to do the option to people to dowload de movie if they like, were i can find this opcion, its not a option of the movie, and dont appears automatically.

hello again, i can install netbpm and ffmepg, but still cant find the download button,
i have de gallery 2,1 installed and i upgrade to gallery 2,1,2 via replacing (is this word exist????) the folders on my server on ftp, then i run gallery but is still the same.
its some step i forgot?
yes im boring, but its my first time with this, iam an actionscript developer, i dont know nothig about this
