customizing gallery questions

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):
Gallery version:v.1.5.3
Apache version:
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system:
Web browser/version (if applicable):

I have a question about customizing gallery. Please have a look of the attached file image. I want to change the color in the red square area. Could anyone please tell me how to change the color instead of using black color? Thanks :)

look for .modcaption in the css you are using and edit to your desire.

I have found 2 tools that are invaluable the firefox browser and the web development tool that allows you to Make live edits to the CSS of a web page..
Once you have them both installed....
select edit css and under the 'information' dropdown check display ID & class details.
Edit your CSS and you will see the results. Once you have this the way you want, upload your edited css to the server.

Thank you very much your comment is really helpful. I found four css in the css folder. Which css should I edit to change the layout?
