Trying to add link onto Header

PHP Newbie here,

I'm using Gallery v1 which comes with iPower Hosting
Accounts.

I've looked at Docs and most of the info on Sourceforge are
a bunch of dead links?

I'm just trying to add a URL to the top header of this
Gallery so that users can get back to the main website:

http://www.mtdesertisland.net/Gallery/Lacadie

Can anyone help?

You probably want to edit some of the tpl files in your theme.

Try http://codex.gallery2.org/ for documentation, its the big link on the upper right.

http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Themes would probably be where to find it, but it is deep and maybe hard to understand.

In your ./gallery2/themes/<name of theme you use>/templates/ you will find a bunch of ".tpl" files. They are named after what they control, so poke around in there. You should create a directory named "local" where you find the tpl file you want to edit. Now, copy that file into the "local" dir you just made and edit it the *COPY*. This way, if you update your G2 you won't lose your customizations.

Right, well the main thing I can think of would be to post this in the Gallery 1 forums instead of the Gallery 2 forums. That way, someone who knows Gallery 1 will answer! Sorry, I should have noticed it in your first post but didn't. I'll move your thread if I can.

Also, you seem to be putting your own reply into a quote block. Generally, the quote blocks are used to quote *someone else*. It makes it look like you are quoting someone who said something above. It is a bit odd :)

Crazy ideas here. Nubie also. Make the last picture in you album an large 'back' arrow as the link or include the link itself.
Now that I've said it. Guess I'll try it. :-)

edit /gallery/html_wrap/galler.header.default and save it without the .default extention.
