Hello Stephan

Quote:
But I found some errors. I use the gallery 2- script on a german site and
there is the problem. I do not know if you know the German – language, but
we have some special letters like “a,o and u” but with to dots on it. These
letters are not displayed correctly.

Perhaps TYPO3 has to be configured as UTF-8.

[german]P.S. Ein bisschen was von eurer Sprache verstehe ich schon, hab auch einen Umlaut in meinem Namen. Meine Muttersprache ist Schwiizerdütch. ;-)[/german]

Quote:
And an other error are the links. If I click on a link into the frontend it
looks like that : http://www.example.com/?g2_controller=cart.AddToCart&g2_itemId=7&g2_return=
%2F%3Fg2_0%3D5%26&&g2_returnName=Album&g2_itemId=7&g2_return=%2F%3Fg2_0%3D5%26&&g2_returnName=Album and the link redirects me to startpage.

plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1.thisPage = Gallery2.893.0.html (example)
(I will add it to README.)

Quote:
Oh yeah, an when I try to registry me in the backend, it tell me you put the
wrong code in the box. But I tried it 20 times an it never works. I do not
know where the error is located,

You did the installation as described in README?

Quote:
Äh, what I have to expect for the frontend-modul T3G2, because I got only an
empty page.

The other Plugins are experimental or old (only viewing). Please ignore them.

You so totally rock! I have been very hopeful that this extension would be made for a LONG time. I will try installing it very soon. I hope everything is self-explanitory without any documentation yet.

Here my first "bugs" ( I know it's an alpha version)

- I guess it should be installed localy because of the [g2Path]. Otherwise you get an error:

Warning: initgallery(../../../../gallery2//embed.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/share/typo3/typo3_src-4.0/typo3/ext/gallery2/mod1/index.php on line 74

Fatal error: initgallery(): Failed opening required '../../../../gallery2//embed.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /usr/share/typo3/typo3_src-4.0/typo3/ext/gallery2/mod1/index.php on line 74

- I don't see album images on the be.
- The fonts are really big

Hi Thomas

There was a little bug in the uploaded version, uploaded a new version (0.0.5) with little fixes. Does it now on your site?

Quote:

Should be fixed, if you make it with UTF-8 and XHTML?

Hi Marcel

Ok. The site is set to xhtml and UTF-8. Now the font is quite small :-)

I still don't see the album images on the BE. Can you see them on your site?

If you need some help or resources just ask (PM).

Thomas
P.S. I will not stress you. I just try to send you information and problems I have. Take your time!

I do not have any problems with showing the images in the BE. Everything works fine. Do you use the newest Gallery version I think it is 2.1.1? That was a problem with one of my installtions... But now it is working fine...! Top Work

Do you install the gallery to /gallery2/ . I found a bug, or it shoud be, that is hardcoded otherwise change yor dic. to /gallery2/

maybe it helps...

just give me the image address of you no showing images. If I understanded it right you see the image box but not your images. then do the this:

1. right click on the image-placeholder
2. choose "characteristics" normally the last point
3. copy the image address and post it here

Found your bug in the frontend, you have to include the template in your main template. Go to "Click here to edit whole template record" and the go down to "Include static (from extensions):" and include "gallery2" , save and clear cache! then it shoud work.

And now you have to do one more change.

Go into the extension manager and go to the gallery2 extension. Go to "edit files". And edit the the file: "pi1/static/setup.txt". The file looks like that

Quote:
plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1 {
CMD =
pidList =
recursive =
debug = 0
showItem = 0
thisPage = here you have to write down your site link ex: "index.php?id=168" or for you "gallery.html"
}

save the file and clear cache...

It doesn't matter. If I put the line plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1.thisPage = Gallery2.893.0.html (sure I changed it) in my setup. but it does not work. Only when I change it in the p1/static/setup.txt file than it works.

normaly if you installed all like it stand in the readme, it should work. Do you use typo3 4.0? I do not have any problems in the backend...!

Do it accurately like in the readme and everything is fine. Otherwise tell me what the pic-prefs says...

Please leave so a specific indication not away next time, if you announces a bug.

To the solution of your problem I cannot contribute at present. Since I have to much work at the moment.

But I would look at the extension files in the dic /mod/ that I think is for the backend

Hi.

Thanks for amazing extension!!!

There is one bug with localization. My realurl setup prefiex /ukrainian/ to content. The gallery's value is hardcoded so instead of http://www.ukrainiantoronto.com/ukrainian/galereja/?g2_itemId=10 it pipes the output to http://www.ukrainiantoronto.com/galereja/?g2_itemId=10

You can see the bug in action here - http://www.ukrainiantoronto.com/gallery/ , just click on some albums and pick the ukrainian language(its a yellow/blue flag besides the english flag)

hi there

thanks for your great work!

backend-gallery works 50% (no images, links to albums wrong)....
but i don't know how to create a webpage which shows the gallery?

i have to tell, that i'm new on typo3 - a friend of me created the page, typoscript und so on... i just modify now :)

my link: www.inview.ch/t3root/ (website not yet finished)
-> "fotogalerie" is gallery 2 in a iFrame
-> "gallery" is the page i defined for your Extension

Edit: One thing that would be great: You can see on the top right of my Site a "random image" out of gallery. the link (when you click on the image) doesn't work yet with the iFrame.
It would be great to have a possibility to create such a feature in your extension (in some next version :) )

Thanks, Simon (from switzerland too ;) )

Hi.

When using the gallery2_pi1 plugin I just see a blank output page.
I performed all configuration steps in the readme.txt.
Maybe I configured "plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1.thisPage" wrong? Any help?

I am using gallery2 in the multiside version and i have no "gallery2" standard path.

Hello

I'am a fellow worker of Marcel and I will continue working on the gallery2-extension.
I have fixed the "upload with forms"-bug.
In the initGallery()-function you must change the embedURI to: $GLOBALS['_SERVER']['SCRIPT_NAME']

Before I upload a new version, I will fix all known bugs.

I have one big problem:
When I upload an image with the upload-applet from G2, I see the follow errormsg:

Upload error: Upload failed: 'user id: 5 doesn't have permission: core.addDataItem for item id: 8684'.

http://gallery.menalto.com/node/44715

When I debug() is there no problem!

How can I fix this bug? (Answer in http://gallery.menalto.com/node/44715)

Thanks and Greets

Hi,

I've installed gallery2 into "gallery2/" folder into website-root directory and have activated static template.
In setup.txt I've set "galleryPage = galerie.html", which is the realurl-name of the site, I want to integrate the gallery.

If I want to create a new plugin-gallery content, I get the following error on top of the frame:

Warning: implode(): Bad arguments. in /var/www/web1/html/typo3conf/ext/gallery2/class.tx_gallery2_albumview.php on line 109

I'm using latest version from online repository (0.0.13) with typo3 4.0.1.

Where could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I have the same problem tinoweb has, i get this message:

Quote:
Warning: implode(): Bad arguments. in [...]/html/typo3conf/ext/gallery2/class.tx_gallery2_albumview.php on line 109

when creating the content with the plugin gallery2.

Actually it doesn't allow to choose any album since the field it should read them is empty as he cannot read were they are.

Clicking on the module gallery in backend doesn't give me any problem, i casn see and navigate the gallery without problem.

The strange is that i can even see the gallery from the site. But when i click on the only album i put it redirect me to the home page.

Hi EnumaElis,

this problem is easy solved.
You have to set your gallery-page in setup.txt or in typoscript-setup:

Quote:
plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1 {
view = random
showItem = 0
nocss = 0
galleryPage = galerie.html <----- my gallery-page generated by realURL

count = 3
show = title
maxSize =
failures = 5
}

Then it should work.

Quote:
Actually it doesn't allow to choose any album since the field it should read them is empty as he cannot read were they are.

This is why the implode() command is not executed (this command should generate the options for the selectbox reading the $option-array).
The $option-array in class.tx_gallery2_albumview.php seems to be wrong for the implode command... (wrong format?)

But I'm no php-expert, so I can't solve the problem by recode this file...

I hope, there is somebody to help us ;-)

Nice weekend!

tx for your answer tino,
i have a little question,
since i use realurl in typo3, when you insert the gallery page in the site it is contained in another page already derived with realrul, so if i call the page gallery.html (and were do i have to say to call that page so?) when i click it doesn't found it because it looks for gallery.htm INSIDE the generated html url of the site instead of starting from the root of the site.
How do i solve that?

Hi Enumaelis,

you have to set the name of the page, where you have set the gallery plugin content, this could be something different (not only gallery.html or galerie.html).
You could also try "index.php?id=<id_of_your_gallerysubpage>". Then it should work.

Insert the following code into your setup-part of your template or edit the "pi1/static/setup.txt" to set the "galleryPage" string:

plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1.galleryPage = <nameofyoursubpage_or_index.php?id=...>

And remember to set the right relative Path in the Extension Manager > Gallery2 Plugin.

Hi,

I don't know why, but I have a similar problem. I can even see the gallery from the site. But when i click on a album, it says that the page cannot be display.

here is my config in the setup.txt

Quote:
plugin.tx_gallery2_pi1 {
view = gallery
showItem = 0
nocss = 0
galleryPage = index.php?id=19

count = 3
show = title
maxSize =
failures = 5
}

Any idea of the problem.

Thanks in advance

very nice TYPO3 extension, good work.
I had some truble uploading a picture with the be-module
Removing the line 171 of mod1/index.php solved the problem

i have installed the extension exactly as you wrote in the documentation, but now i have the problem, that i can see the pictures in the backend user section, but if i trie to implement the extension in to a frontend page i always get the error

DBAL fatal error: No handler found in handler_getFromTableList() for: "(g2_AlbumItem a INNER JOIN g2_ChildEntity c ON a.g_id=c.g_id) INNER JOIN g2_Item i ON c.g_id=i.g_id" (SQL engine parse ERROR: No table name found as expected in parseFromTables()!: near "(g2_AlbumItem a INNER JOIN g2_ChildEntity c ON a.g")

and then i cant do anything further.

does somebody has an idear why?

thanks

Gallery-Version = 2.1.2 Kern 1.1.0.2
PHP-Version = 5
Webserver = Apache/2.2 (Linux/SUSE)
Datenbank = mysql 5

plugin v 017

gallery db is installed iniside the typo3 db but still:
DBAL fatal error: No handler found in handler_getFromTableList() for: "(g2_AlbumItem a INNER JOIN g2_ChildEntity c ON a.g_id=c.g_id) INNER JOIN g2_Item i ON c.g_id=i.g_id" (SQL engine parse ERROR: No table name found as expected in parseFromTables()!: near "(g2_AlbumItem a INNER JOIN g2_ChildEntity c ON a.g")

what does that mean?
The gallery user is exactly the same as the typo3 dbuser.
