We are a commercial Photographers & Print Service company and are considering developing a Commercial Supply & Checkout Service for the Gallery2 community. Currently providers and users can either order prints through photoworks/shutterfly services (which bypasses the author of the website hosted and prevents him/her from earning any revenue - rather important!) or install a third party shopping cart which will either forwards the order to paypal or gives a "check in post option" ..... Neither of which are commercially advantageous. We would like to provide a fully populated print ordering system which will allow you to sell (or simply order for yourself) high quality products which are not restricted to simple glossy prints which anyone can order at the local lab (or shutterfly!). I would like to have some feedback to see how great the demand would be and whether or not we are able to offer a service which leaves our competitors in the dark! Here are some of my preliminary thoughts.... Cost to setup an account with us? How much will I earn from sales if I am selling my products? How big is your product range compared to other services? * Standard Glossy Prints up to 10 x 12 * Delivery from either Baltimore (US Orders) or London (European Orders) Lets have some feedback?? Warren Vince - http://www.Studio1-London.co.uk PS. I would like to here from a developer who has the technical ability to produce the storefront and backend workflow on this project. Given the size of the Gallery community and the potencial in this project, development could lead to a part time role in maintaining and developing the site service! Salary would be attractive! There is already a commercial service called digibug (digibug.com) with some basic gallery2 integration.
It's still not stable and lacks some fuctionality enough for my use. They have used to have decent prices
when started, but has increased a bit lately.
From a user's standpoint, I welcome any commercial modules on top of gallery. It should at least allow user to sell the
hi-res images directly. ie. even if they do not go through your service and have a wide options which
allows the users to buys whatever you sell.
The more competition the merrier. The market is big enough for more than one player and ultimtely. The users
will benefits at the end.
Good luck

Sounds good to me. I am currently looking for a provider who will print off my orders who are based in the UK (for faster delivery to UK residents as well as overseas). Had a look at the site but could not find any pricings etc. Please let me know.
