I've been combing through forum messages trying to find the solution to embedded AVI files not playing in Firefox and after I reinstalled Quicktime and Windows Media Player I decided to try and mess with the mime type settings to see if that would work. So, I went into the Mime Types module, deleted the x-msvideo/avi entry, and add avi to the video/quicktime entry. However, when I refresh the page with the video in it and look at the source code the type is still set to video/x-msvideo. I've tried deleting the browser cache, and all cache's available in the Maintenance module with no effect. Why doesn't the page Gallery generates have the new mime type in the embed tag?
