Hi there,

I have finally got my site www.tim.co.nz/gallery all working but the main opening page is PAINFULLY slow to open. I am worried that people will give up and browse some place else. Can anyone give me any clues as to where to start looking for solutions.?

My SIte hosts say their system is going just fine.

Thanks

Tim

You really should disable the auto-resizing of the browser window... It's not a nice thing to do.

How many images/albums/users do you have? Are you using random highlight? What kind of hardware is this on?

Thanks ckdake for your message. I have turned off resizing.
I have around a dozen albums and about 1500 images. and only 10 or so users. No random highlights.
Not sure what server my host runs sorry.. Can ask if it makes a difference. But Im sure is up to date and fairly powerful.

Regards

Tim

I Have just tryed your album and it seems pretty slow to me.
It takes a long time before all the thumbnails are displayed,
but why it does this I have no clue.

Tim:

That should be much faster, Ask your host what hardware you are on and how many other sites are on it. Average load average as well as memory and swap usage would help too.
