un-Integrating with phpNuke

I'm currently running gallery 2.0.2 within my phpnuke site. I'm wanting to get rid of nuke since all traffic goes straight to my gallery anyway. what is the easiest way to keep my gallery intact but move it to my root directory? is it as simple as copying it from its current directory and pasting it in my root? or is that wishful thinking?

unintegrating should indeed be straight forward. but i don't know the *nuke integration indetail.
