Hacking admin sidebar possible?

Im using joomla with the 4theweb bridge which includes a sidebar module.

My admin sidebar does not act the same as the regular gallery sidebar specifically for item actions due to the fact that the admin sidebar seems to be hardcorded into several tpl files, after searching here I found this code

Deleting that in the .tpl files would eliminate the wrong position its showing up in but where would I add that to make it show up in my proper sidebar.

The admin sidebar is not like other sitebars yet so it presents a problem in existing integrations. I think we plan for it to be in Gallery 2.2.
