- what about the second faq link? is the file integrity ok?
- your php version is really old. there were a lot of security vulnerabilities in php since php 4.1.2. g2 should work with it nevertheless.

does imagemagick work on this server in the command line at all? how did you install imagemagick? did you just download the source from imagemagick.org and upload it? did you compile it? or is it a binary release of imagemagick which matches your operating system??

I downloaded "ImageMagick-6.2.5-4.tar.gz" from imagemagick.org, using FTP Pro.
Then I uploaded it intact to the server, again using FTP Pro (Auto file type mode).
Than I ran the following commands from a SSH Login per ImageMagick's instructions:
1)gunzip -c ImageMagick.tar.gz | tar xvf -
2)cd ImageMagick-6.?.?
3)./configure
4)make
5)make install

since you have ssh access, please try the imagemagick binaries from the command line.
upload an gif / jpg image and run identify filename.jpg and also try the composite command.

I am a bit hesitant since my knowledge of UNIX commands are limited, I you could assist with the "exact" commands I will attempt.

Thanks again for your guidance & help

identify imagefilename.jpg
e.g. if the jpg you uploaded for testing is hellp.jpg, then use
identify hello.jpg

for the composite command, see the "executing" output in your debug output above.

These are the only files in the ImageMagick folder:

ChangeLog Magick++ PerlMagick config filters m4 tests
ImageMagick.spec Magickshr.opt Platforms.txt config.guess images magick utilities
ImageMagick.spec.in Make.com QuickStart.txt config.log index.html magick.sh version.sh
Install-mac.txt Makefile README.txt config.status install-sh magick.sh.in wand
Install-unix.txt Makefile.am acinclude.m4 config.sub libtool missing winpath.sh
Install-vms.txt Makefile.in aclocal.m4 configure lndir.sh mkinstalldirs www
Install-windows.txt NEWS coders configure.ac ltdl scenes

Looks like the command Identify is not there????

make install usually moves the compiled binaries into a more appropriate path. maybe you don't have permissions to move it there.
in your imagemagick folder, is there a bin folder or so where the compiled binaries are?
identify, convert, composite, ... should all be there.

Checked every folder... no such files...

Just downloaded, ImageMagick again & started all over...

Got some errors during the "make" command.. (near bottom)

Details below:

you should ask imagemagick compiling related questions on imagemagick.org. maybe try an older imagemagick version.
or forget about imagemagick and use out precompiled netpbm binaries from our sf.net project site.
