looks like a permisison error.
did you move your g2data directory, extract a copy or something like that?

moving to integrations, since g2 worked before, and doesn't after integrating it with joomla/mambo.

please post a phpinfo link and enable buffered debug mode and post the resulting debug output.

Hi,

Same problem here. My gallery 2 worked well yesterday, and it seems to have crashed today :(. I am trying to get my new born nephew's pics to all my relatives :((

Anyway, enough sob story. Here's the dealio. Yesterday, the gallery was working fine as standalone and intergrated (joomla) gallery. This morning, I get this error:

Quote:
Error (ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE) :

* in modules/core/classes/GalleryTemplate.class at line 270 (gallerystatus::error)
* in modules/core/classes/GalleryTemplate.class at line 200 (gallerytemplate::_initcompiledtemplatedir)
* in main.php at line 311 (gallerytemplate::fetch)
* in main.php at line 87
* in modules/core/classes/GalleryEmbed.class at line 153
* in /home/viveknra/public_html/components/com_gallery2/pages/main.php at line 65 (galleryembed::handlerequest)
* in /home/viveknra/public_html/components/com_gallery2/gallery2.php at line 39
* in /home/viveknra/public_html/index.php at line 228

The link to my gallery is http://www.viveknrao.com/component/option,com_gallery2/Itemid,2/. The debug mode is on.. so, you should see the output (if the problem has not been solved yet). The link to PHP info is at http://viveknrao.com/phpinfo.php

Can someone please help me??

Hi!

I have a similar problem, however I've chmod'ed the data directory to 777...

Thing is: I was uploading images through local server, got up to 67 files and it crashed with the following output...

Any clues?

Platform Error

An error has occurred while interacting with the platform.
The exact nature of the platform error is unknown. A common cause are insufficient file system permissions. This can happen if you or your webhost changed something in the file system, e.g. by restoring data from a backup.

Hey All,

I got the same platform errors as everyone here.

There are a number of problems and when I set the site to DEBUG . . . this is what it tells me:

Quote:
Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpGVlxQO' to '/home/xxxx/public_html/gallery2/g2data_39832mnpic/tmp/MUF_0BY4jy' in /home/xxxx/public_html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryPlatform.class on line 122

On Line 122 on GalleryPlatform.class when I open this class file, it reads:

Quote:
return $version;

My Album Properties are set to "755" and worked fine until, as above, all of a sudden . . .

I had chmod on my g2data directory running at 755. Changed it to 777. Same error. Don't know how to changed chmod to "-R 777" as system only appears to take 777.

I am also running 2.1.2

Any help very much appreciated.

My site is http://www.bikingforbreakfast.com/gallery2
