triangular, to not display any full size popup must uncheck:
PHOTO :: Navigation - Show full size photo POPUP navigation pic
PHOTO :: Navigation (OnMouseOver) - Show full size photo POPUP navigation pic
PHOTO :: Clicking on full size link will show the full size image on a POPUP Window (by default: Tradicional full size link)
PHOTO :: Show POPUP link even if the current view is the full size image
rick7,
If you aren't using a PGcolorpack the images should be located under:
themes / PGtheme / images
If you are using a PGcolorpack the images should be located under:
modules / colorpack / packs / PG... / images
Sorry for my English ! I have some problems. With 1 Picture PG is ok but when i load more pictures i have this problem
Warning: requireonce(/home/web489/public_html/gallery/modules/core/classes/../../../modules/comment/Callbacks.inc): failed to open stream: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden in /home/web489/public_html/gallery/modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class on line 2505

Thanks for your answer, but believe me I have all these options unchecked. The "full size" mouseover still appears. Not always at first but if I hover the mouse for a few seconds or move it over the area a few times it does appear. Clicking on it does bring up the popup window and the image still loads.
When I set the "everybody" group to only have "view resized versions" permissions, it still allows the popup but instead of loading the full size image it merely shows a broken image type icon in the popup. While that method does prevent one from loading the full size image, it appears to the user that the function is broken instead of not allowed. I don't think this is working as designed.
What I want to do is prevent a viewer from downloading my image via a rt-click/save as option. It appears this can only be done in the popup window. I have "Show alert" checked so any rt-click in the photo page shows the copyright message. But even if I check "disable rt-click", it still works in the popup window with all options, including the save-as choice.
If this is not a bug in the design, please consider what could possibly be causing it for me and any possible solutions I can try. This is an important element to me. Thank you.

Pedro, any thoughts on my wider-than-should-be problem (http://www.yantisgetaway.com/gallery/v/xmas05/) ? Since your latest update, the layout of my album pages - with comments posted - are corrupted, as shown at the link above. (Or have you commented and I just missed it?)
Happy New Year - and thatnks for your top-of-the-heap theme!

each color pack has it's own images - make sure that you change the logo for the pack that you're using.
example: /modules/colorpack/packs/PGsnow/images
contains the files logo.gif and logoon.gif
both of those need to be edited if you want to change the logo while using color pack PG Snow.
All of the color packs have logo files that need to be edited.
i want to use short URL, i set it and its fine to start with, but if i dont use the navigation within the gallery and try to jump to a thumbnail, i lose the short urls.
Any ideas as to what i can do to cure this?
many thanks, and Happy New year!

Here is Pedro's answer to the same question when I asked it a few days ago.
Dayo,
I' m working on that,
at navigatorThumbs.tpl everything with "core:" should be "core." (eg. core.ShowItem)
the same at navigatorTop.tpl with "core:" and "slideshow:" (eg. view=slideshow.Slideshow)

excellent thank you, i saw that reply but to be honest i didnt know if it was refereing to the same thing, i will attempt to fix my site now!
Pedro, do any of those updates stop users from using the right-click to save the image when viewing the original full size image, along with the micro-navigation? Just want to confirm this before applying these updates. Thanks.

I'm a photographer with NO scripting experience. I just downloaded the theme, uploaded it to the gallery folder, and decompressed it. When I log in under administrator, I can't locate the theme under . . . Gallery Layouts . . . All Layouts so that I can install or activate it. Did I miss a step somewhere? The PG theme does show up under . . . Gallery Layouts . . . Defaults, but if I select and save this, I get an error message and lose access to the gallery and have to reinstall everything.

when you uploaded the PG Theme, did you put it into the "themes" folder or just into the Gallery directory?
Thank you for the fixes. All appears to be working properly for not allowing POPUP access. I appreciate your excellent response and support!

I downloaded the zip file, uploaded that to the gallery folder on my server, then decompressed it using Web Shell.

That's where it is. I'm pretty sure that everything was decompressed into the correact directories and stuff.
The error message that I get when I try to use the theme is:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: setid() in /hsphere/local/home/utphotom/pixsurreal.com/gallery/themes/PGtheme/theme.inc on line 43

I also just realized that none of the modules are showing up to where I can install and activate them.
If a anyone wants to check, I can give you temporary FTP access to the gallery directory so you can see if I'm doing something funky.

Pedro
First up many thanks for this great theme and for taking the time to constantly respond to queries. However, that only encourages us to ask for more so here are some feature requests.
#1
Make the Photo Properties update without vanishing when using the button. As an extra, it will be nice to have it stay up between pictures until closed but the first part is more important.
#2
Currently when users are given the choice of selecting different photosizes, they have to select the chosen size for each photo viewed. From my little VB, maybe storing the choice in a variable and applying it until changed would work? It just means people will smaller screens will be able to choose a smaller size and then browse through the site. I know it has to be in Photosizes.tpl but my php is not up to scratch to amend. Bought a php book and reading up.
#3
The microThumbs. Something is awry here. It doesn't seem to be fully obeying the instructions from Theme Admin. The first and last thumb always show up no matter what. Also when a smaller number of microthumbs than the number of imagesin an album is selected, say I say display 12 microthumbs in an album with 18 images, it will display 12 alright when I open the album but If I click on thumb 10 for instance, it will display all 18 Microthumbs.
Not too much heh?
Thanks!!!

Pedro,
Before anything, must say this is a remarkable theme. Everything about it is terrific. Well done.
A question on the 'author BIO' function. Do you have any thoughts or plans on providing the ability for a 'owner' of an album to be able to input their data themselves instead of requiring an admin to put these into place?
Reason to bring this up is I know of several, many artists who see G2 and would love to be able to participate, but putting in their personal bio, portfolio, equipment, or other information requires the work of an admin. Am sure you have heard this 1000 times already, but wanted to add a little juice to this idea. Your theme is so excellent and with the ideas of this information already there, I wondered if you had any plans on providing this user input ability as well?
regards, drhiii
pgilbert wrote:
For those who wanted to display different "author BIO" on first page:

This will work but you have to add the differente tpl files manualy:
[username]_author.tpl (eg. "pgilbert_author.tpl")
and if you use the links at this page:
[username]_[link1].tpl (eg. "pgilbert_equipment.tpl")
[username]_[link2].tpl (eg. "pgilbert_portfolio.tpl")
**************
forget that, it will work only when you are logged on as a user.
I think the best way to do that is to put the bio informations on album description...
**************
I'm seeing horrible cpu spikes on the server now, the httpd thread hits 100 % and stops responding
I tried to downgrade, but it wont let me go back to RC6
anyone else see this happen? It also locks up firefox on the client

Hello Pedro,hello all Users,
First of all, thank you Pedro for your wonderfull themes.
Could anybody be so kind to help me? Galery2 and PGtheme!
In the german forum nobody could't help me. Valiant don't knew the PGtheme, but he think it is an html- or an css- problem.
Here is my problem:
After Login from an new User, the structur of the hole side is broken.
Usually my side looks so:
http://www.fotodesignkoeln.de
Now I made an installation of a new User. If he wants to loog-in on my side, the constuction of the side (only in the loog-in from this new user) is broken. The hole structur of the table isn't correct.
A friend of mine has the same probleme with galery2. So I knew my installation is correct.
Best regards Nobody-44

nobody-44, mine shows similar misbehavior when an album contains comments and is opened by an editor- or admin-level user. Looks fine in guest mode, though - without comments.

nobody-44, I don't really have an explanation. I just noticed that your problem reminded me of my problem: When an album owner (or user with edit-level permissions) opens an album which includes pictures with comments, he the layout of the page is corrupted. I specified 4 columns of pictures, but get 5 or 6 or more, and the pictures are not confined to the darker-shaded area intended for item display.
@almost
I think I know what you mean, but here is one question:
Do you realy mean the guestbutton on the side below right into the album?
If you mean this, I've try to do this, but it doesen't work.
What have you for an PGtheme version? I have version 1.0RC6.
I have seen that the new version 1.0RC7 is online. Is it possible, that this is the problem?

Hallo nobody,
hier ist der link zum download von 1.0RC7: (ist übrigens eine null und kein Oh!) hat mich eine weile gekostet!
I don't know if it working - I did not get it installed - see post earlier today - do you have any idea, what I did wrong - I followed PG instructions.... I get it in the theme list, but can not install being in the Admin-level !!
nobody, I'm using an update since 1.0RC7. And, yes, I'm referring to the Guest link at the lower right - giving the same view as an unregistered user.

nobody-44, almost,
I'm working on it the bug is almost fixed, i think:
To fix the latest bugs reported you can download this files and replace the old ones:
To display correctly the navigator thumbs in order to show or not the first and last microthumbs and to show always the same number of microthumbs you should change the "gallery2/modules/core/Callbacks.inc" by this one http://pedrogilberto.net/gallery2/Callbacks.inc
Dayo,
1- Did you try to uncheck "BLOCKS :: Show a "Blocks" button on photo pages (when clicked Blocks selected to show: containing EXIF, Comments, etc, will be displayed)"?
2- I'll think about it...
3- For a reason I don't know the distributed "Callback.inc" with Gallery2 2.0.2 is revision 1.08 and not 1.10 as on version 2.0, so the option to not show first and last microthumb don't work.
changing the file by the one listed above will fix it and correct the problem of not showing always the same number of microthumbs.
drhiii,
I'm thinking about it...
lburmeister,
Sorry but I' dont know wahat's wrong, where did you put it? under gallery2/themes/?
is the folder named "PGtheme" or "pgtheme"?
Thanks, Pedro. Those tpl's seem to have fixed the layout issue. But now I'm having a Comments problem. How are Comments supposed to display?
Clicking on View Comments sometimes appears to do nothing, other times it displays comments in the upper left corner of the extended page. If I'm scrolled to the bottom of a "long" page, the fact that comments appear in the top left is not evident, so it appears that nothing has changed. I don't know if it's doable, but it would be nice for Comments to appear in the current window whenever they're requested.

I'm thinking about it...
Pedro, thank you for your response on this. I have several non profit museums, photographers and private collections, all looking at G2. Having the ability to add this kind of user entry, like bio, equipment, or customized information, at the user level... would open the door for all this.
What can I do to support this kind of thing?

Pedro
Thanks for the reply. My suggestions are not critical issues just refinements.
On #1, I want to keep that checked so that users click on the phoo blocks button to see exif data. However once they click on it, it comes up with summary as a default. It they click on the detailed link, the block disappears and then they need to click on the photo blocks button again to see the detailed info which is not intuitive.
On #2, this is a similar issue wth the photo sizes. When someone chooses a photo size, it will be much better if it doesn't switch back to the default as soon as they move to another image as I can see that it will be irritating for people with smaller screens to have to keep resizing for each image. I am looking at the photosizes.tpl file to try to understand it and see if I can make this adjustment. So far, not doing too well but we'll see.
On #3, Shipping an older file is bizzare. I will try to find the previous one. Thanks for the heads up and taking the time to reply to the questions flying in left and right.

i am loving this theme as well!
but it doesnt seem like the NEXT and PREVIOUS button/links are working whenever you try to navigate the pictures within an album (the NEXT/PREVIOUS that appear whenever you hover over the image--after you've clicked a thumbnail).
thanks PG, it works like a charm. Once again, thank you for this sexy theme.

pgilbert,
I'm developing a theme based on your great theme. Some feedback I want to give you is this:
- Use g->text for displaying text! (e.g. {g->text text='hello'}) Any text displayed by using this tag will go into the translation queue so that 'make messages.po' (see Gallery2:Localization) will build a .po file holding all such text ready to be translated. If you don't use this tag, your text won't be added to the .po files and won't be translated by translators!
- I small 'bug': When you have setup the PGTheme to not have a "blocks" button and have the blocks table positioned to the right, the "admin" link of the display mode becomes unclickable (I presume the blocks layer is covering it)
- I'm commenting my changes to the theme for later developers so that they can easily see what a specific block of code does. May I suggest you do the same?
A question:
- Has there been support for the checkout module? I wrote code next to the cart support in my theme, but now thought of making the theme.inc file see whether the ceckout or cart is active and pick one and have code in the tpl file affecting the chosen module. (See my proposal/question to turnbulm here if you're interested) Anyway I've read some posts a couple of pages back saying that there was support for the checkout module in previous versions, so what happened with it?

I can't install PGtheme.
I had a previous version of PGtheme as the default theme and I accidently deleted PGtheme directory which left me without access to my gallery but I managed to default back to the Matrix theme.
I upload PGtheme folder to gallery2/themes/ directory
I see an upgrade icon in the themes Site Admin area under All Themes.
Under version it says: 1.0.RC7
Under installed says : 0.10.4
I click on upgrade and get the following error message:

I'm using the updated files but still having lots of trouble
I'm not sure if it's the theme, or the nightly gallery build, I updated it today and still have the same problem
firefox locks up, really really really slow, on windows or linux
IE works ok, does not lock up on the same page, however, I can see on the status bar that it's doing LOTS Of refreshes of something, not sure what
I'm not sure if there's a way to downgrade gallery2 to the stable version, and an older version of this theme, it failed when I tried

Hello PGilbert,
Is there any difference between 'navigatorPhotoBottom.tpl' and 'navigatorPhotoTop.tpl'? I can't see any at first glance, the only thing is that they are (of course) called from different places in photo.tpl. So isn't it an idea to just have one 'navigatorPhoto.tpl'?

Hmm...I did the same thing and I'm still getting the old logo. I created my own logo.gif and logoon.gif on my PC, then copied them to my web server at themes/PGtheme/images. I can see the new file dates on the web server. Could these GIFs be cached somewhere? I ran Site Admin > Maintenance > Delete Template Cache but that had no effect. What could I be doing wrong?

triangular, to not display any full size popup must uncheck:
PHOTO :: Navigation - Show full size photo POPUP navigation pic
PHOTO :: Navigation (OnMouseOver) - Show full size photo POPUP navigation pic
PHOTO :: Clicking on full size link will show the full size image on a POPUP Window (by default: Tradicional full size link)
PHOTO :: Show POPUP link even if the current view is the full size image

All of the color packs have logo files that need to be edited.

hi PGilberto
A stunning theme, but with one minor gripe
i want to use short URL, i set it and its fine to start with, but if i dont use the navigation within the gallery and try to jump to a thumbnail, i lose the short urls.

I downloaded the zip file, uploaded that to the gallery folder on my server, then decompressed it using Web Shell.

move the folder "PG Theme" into the folder "Themes" - That should fix your problem.

Is there any documentation on creating a header like a banner?

That's where it is. I'm pretty sure that everything was decompressed into the correact directories and stuff.
The error message that I get when I try to use the theme is:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: setid() in /hsphere/local/home/utphotom/pixsurreal.com/gallery/themes/PGtheme/theme.inc on line 43

I also just realized that none of the modules are showing up to where I can install and activate them.
If a anyone wants to check, I can give you temporary FTP access to the gallery directory so you can see if I'm doing something funky.

Look here the Screenshot p.e.
http://fotodesignkoeln.de/privat/copy-2.jpg
A friend of mine has the same probleme with galery2. So I knew my installation is correct.
Best regards Nobody-44

nobody-44, mine shows similar misbehavior when an album contains comments and is opened by an editor- or admin-level user. Looks fine in guest mode, though - without comments.

@ almost,
please, could you make you comment a littel bit exactlier? This would be very helpfull. My knowledge is not so good about gallery2. Could you be so kind as to explain it step by step. Thank you very much for your help.

nobody-44, I don't really have an explanation.
Switching to "guest" mode hides the problem.
A partial view of theproblem can be seen at:

I think I know what you mean, but here is one question:
Do you realy mean the guestbutton on the side below right into the album?
If you mean this, I've try to do this, but it doesen't work.
What have you for an PGtheme version? I have version 1.0RC6.
I have seen that the new version 1.0RC7 is online. Is it possible, that this is the problem?
thanks, nobody-44

nobody-44, almost,
I'm working on it the bug is almost fixed, i think:
To fix the latest bugs reported you can download this files and replace the old ones:
*http://pedrogilberto.net/gallery2/photoNavOver.tpl
*http://pedrogilberto.net/gallery2/navigatorTop.tpl
*http://pedrogilberto.net/gallery2/navigatorThumbs.tpl

Thanks for the heads up and taking the time to reply to the questions flying in left and right.

pgilbert,
I'm developing a theme based on your great theme.
