I can't seem to find a downloadable version of Siriux? Can anyone post up a zip or link?

Thanks!

The latest version of G2 only has the Matrix theme. This is because of the new theme system in G2 and the devs didn't have the time to port all the themes. So only Matrix go ported. You'll need to wait until the Siriux theme/layout has been ported to the new theme system. Classic, Siriux, Hybrid, etc themes should start showing up in CVS in a couple of weeks.

I re-implemented the siriux theme for my own page (for which I initially hacked together this theme). It supports exif and has some nice JavaScript prev/next effect...

If anyone is interested, I'll clean it up (again) and then release the code.

I'd be interested in at least how you did the prev/next effect. I like that. Good job.

hmmm, I'm not seeing anything special. oh wait never mind. Hover over the image. That's damn cool!

lvthunder, Right-click > View Source ;) You'll see the JavaScript file he's using.

That's cool! One thing though. This only works for landscape oriented pictures. For portrait oriented pictures, when you hover over the picture, the arrow appears outside of the picture so you can't click on it. Here's an example:

Unfortunately, I know very little JavaScript so can't offer any suggestions on fixing this. :(

Yes, that's true. Unfortunately I did not find a way to get the real dimensions of the displayed image (e.g. 600x450 of a downsized image). That's why this whole thing does not work at all when there are higher resolution images available for download. For example

Any ideas?

nicokaiser, please get in touch with bharat. Together, you could make this new siriux uber cool. he can answer questions like "how to get the dimensions". :)

I am also interested in the latest version of Siriux (I find Matrix to be overcomplicated).

I was using Beta 3 to test out Gallery, now I'm ready to setup my real gallery site, and I find that Beta 4 no longer includes Siriux as a base theme. I'm guessing I can't just copy over what I had in Beta 3 because it looks as if a fair amount of changes have occured in the themes.

Any idea when an update will be available??

I am also interested.
I hope Siriux theme get to be a included theme with the Gallery2 release, since it is quite slick and space saving (good for embedded G2)

Unfortunately I didn't manage to get Siriux up to speed before Beta 4, but it will be back in G2 before the first release candidate. Stay tuned!

Nicokaiser, do you mind posting your current version, even if it's "hacky" ? I upgraded to Flippin Sweet without noticing that Siriux template was missing... I miss your template :)

ps: or by email at hleroy doottt hleroy doottt com
thank you

Please let us know when it's available. I love the simplicity of the theme. It's the only one that integrates easily with many of the different wordpress themes. :)

bharat/nicokaiser,

any idea when this siriux update will be posted (days/weeks/months)?? i've got a site i'd like to take live, and i'm wondering if i should hold out for the better graphics, or if it will be a long wait and i should make do with the base graphics provided.

how does the schedule look?

bharat is in charge of bringing it back to G2. of course it's nicokaiser's creation, but bharat wants to make it a perfect fit for G2 etc.
it's certainly week(s) and not months.

If someone could just tell me how to get my albums to display by date, that would be fantastic. That's really the only part in the siriux theme that I want, I can change the colors and what not by myself!
