URL Redirection Problem

I am having trouble will the URL redirections. I successfully configured G2 and i added some pictures and albums but when i try to "edit album" (and alot of other actions) i get redirected to a 404 page. The reason is because the url G2 tries to redirect to is wrong. This is the url it tries to redirect to when i click "edit album":

http://mywebsite.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core:ItemAdmin&g2_subView=core:ItemEdit&g2_itemId=7&g2_return=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.streckers.info%2Fgallery2%2Fmain.php%3Fg2_view%3Dcore%3AShowItem%26g2_itemId%3D7%26g2_page%3D2&g2_returnName=album

as you can see the query string "g2_return" (which is i guess the return address) has invalid characters in it (i.e. http%3A%2F%2F instead of http://). Why is this happening? When i mouse over the link i see the correct URL in the status bar of my browser but when i click on it is gives me these characters.
