Changing anchor point in wordpress embedded gallery?

OK I struggled with the wrapper files to finally get my wordpress header and gallery to work with each other but now I'm noticing a very annoying thing.

The header is pushing the entire gallery down enough so that you can never see the entire sized image and the user has to keep scrolling down to see the rest and get at the bottom controls to go to the next image. I think this could be resolved maybe with an anchor that moves it down past the header every time but my coding skills are limited.

take a look please at www.area420.net/gallery
I would like the page to scroll down so the header is gone and just the menu under it shows when viewing a single sized image. Can anybody help me out with this?

RayzrShrp, could you please elaborate on how you achieved this integration? And also which versions of WP and Gallery you are using, along with other relevant information (OS, webserver etc.). I'd be very interested in this information.

Thanks,
G.

RayzrShrp,

Nice work, can I get a sample of your code? I'm working on Embedding Gallery2 into Wordpress 1.5.

I'm making a plugin see the thread Wordpress / Gallery2 integration discussion.

That does look very nice. I'm also working on a WP + G1.5 integration, but mine is very crude. You can see it at http://beta.fryfrog.com

The problem is the gallery header is hard coded, but the wordpress stuff is dynamic. What did you include to be able to run WP code inside the header files? Every time I tried to include WP stuff, I got an error (that I don't recall).

Also, I would think the solution to your problem would be to reduce the size of your header by half or more. And is it just me, or do your frames look odd when viewing the site in firefox? They extend farther up/down than the picture :/

fryfrog,

You site looks awesome. I just converted my site to Wordpress (this is the 3rd revision. I went from static to Mambo and now to Wordpress). I would like to integrate gallery into the interface like your site. Can you point me to a thread that explains how to get the WP headers and footers in the wrappers? I'm a little "antsee" (spelling?) and want to get gallery integrated soon rather than wait for the pluging. I wish the plugin existed like the Mambo one. That one is great. EXTREMELY simple to implement....although it does not have the ability to use gallery images in posts as easily as the WP Gallery plugin.

Actually, all I did was create the css/html staticlly. So if you simply go to view source on my gallery, thats all it is. I'm still hoping to figure out how to get that tool bar working (its an early plugin, made by h0bbel i think?)

It is, and if someone figures out how to include the wp functions inside the Gallery wrappers, lemme know.

Yeah, I'm interested in that as well, h0bbel. I can't believe it's that difficult!? :-/
