Using Gallery as an Online Catalogue, not to sell photos

I am using Gallery as an online product catalogue to sell products, not photos. I am now working on a shopping cart to allow users to select products and quantities and have this info e-mailed to the admin at check out. I have looked at Jenado and I do like it, only I have VERY little experience in PHP programming or any other programming for that matter, though I have a good book :P , and I need to do quite a few changes to get it working the way I need it, including Canadianizing it. I have a lot of sales to the US and some to the UK, but I am still located in Canada.
If anyone has started an undertaking like this, let me know. And as I have my successes and failures I will try to keep this thread updated. Not sure how far I'll get though, I'm being cautiously optimistic...

I have also looked at G2 and the cart is nice, only instead of ZIPping a file, I need the list e-mailed. If anyone knows a quick hack for this, I would appreciate it, though I would also need to add the quantity, and username to the e-mail.

So far I am thinking that Jenado will be the easiest to tweak and with more user support. So wish me luck! :wink:
