I'm sure this has been asked and answered before (I've actually used the search function :o ) but what I've found hasn't helped me to the point that I got it working.

I downloaded gallery-1.4.4-pl4.zip. Using the component install in Mambo doesn't work. I then found something about an xml file. I put that new file in the zip, first in /contrib/mambo/, no go. Then in the root, no-go.

Could someone tell me how I can install this? Manual?

Thanx in advance!

Cheers,
Ingemar.

[Moving to correct forum]

Gallery 1.4.4pl4 is not compatible with Mambo 4.5.1. This is fixed in Gallery 1.5, currently under development.

I just did a cvs export from today and it does not work in 4.5.1a, FYI. Actually, there is no option in the configuration wizard for mambo like there was in 1.4.4. Perhaps I need to manually edit the config with some options?

td3201, I'm not familiar with Mambo at all, I just know that 4.5.1 is incompatible with 1.4.4.

As far as I know there has not been a Config Wizard option for Mambo at all, the instructions on how to do it is in gallery/contrib/mambo/HowTo.txt

td3201, if you read the Embedding information page in the config wizard, it says that Gallery automatically detects when it's being run embedded. Follow the installation instructions in the directory that h0bbel mentioned.
