ok well i have gotten past the locked file...thats good however i am unable to login. i have tried admin, rivlinm, and any other thing i could think to use....is there some place in the gallery, i could search for my username....i am the creater of the gallery, yet cant log in.....or is there something that could be wrong with the gallery? |

I'm not sure from your description exactly what's happening. When I login from home, it never logs me in properly. It looks like I didn't type my password in properly, it just puts my name in the Email fields so that I could click the button to have my password emailed to me. The only thing is that I am really logged in. If I click on any of my galleries I'll see all the admin links when the screen refreshes. If I really did type in the wrong password it tells me invalid password or username in red text.
I thought I wasn't logged in too, but in fact I really was. My screen just wasn't refreshing to show the Admin options. From work, it always logs me in without me having to refresh, but almost never does from home.

well i get the actual red text that says invalid username or password, and i am 250 % positive of what my PW is as i only have one i use, yet i dont know what to type in for my user name....when did i choose my user name or was it chosen automaticaly for me or is there somewhere i can find it?

yes i had read that, i know my password, the one i typed twice....i dont know my user name, where would i have typed it? any ideas
or where could i find in in my gallery?

if you get the red box saying your username password is incorrect, and you are using admin as the username, then yes, the password is in fact incorrect.

well if indeed my password is wrong, then how do i cahnge it, FAQ c37 says make that file (is it a php or txt or what?) then when i go to the config wizard, how do i get in if i dont have a password.......

rivlinm, have you tried it? The whole logon page changes when you make that file. It's all explained there.

im sorry to keep bothering you, and i have tried i guess the problem is what kind of file to i put in the folder, i understand what shoudl be hapening, yet its not.
what sort of file shoudl i be making to put in the setup directory
resetadmin.?????
i really appreciate your help and sorry for the annoyance.
i know the exact 7 characters i typed in for my PW twice in the config wizirdd the first time, yet it wont work. i ahve tired all caps, and many other similar options....i guess if i know what kind of file to make i can do it

create an empty file called resetadmin in the setup dir. Open the config wizard again in the browser. The rest is explained there.

well thank you so much.....finally worked...haha now more fun begins, i got to the upload ten pics stage, and hit upload now, yet it just hangs there.....is this somehting i need to be patient for a few hours or what? the % status bar never moves....

in fact, none of the methods are really working....the applet, says i user cant add photos, and the aplet(big) doesnt work, the form just hangs, the url does not do anyhting, and once again im at a loss....
currently i am downloading java 1.4 w/ sdk as the applet says its necessary...i dont know if that will help....any advice?
