I've noticed for sometime now that "bblue" & "bgreen" default colours for the sub-Albums which are displayed in a black box, are very dark and almost unreadable?

Yes, I know how to change them, but I'm having to do this with every new release e.g.

/*
   link colors - overridden by the album 'linkcolor' property.
*/
A   	{ color: #A0A0FF; text-decoration: none; }
A:link	{ color: #A0A0FF; text-decoration: none; }
A:visited { color: #A0A0A0; text-decoration: none; }
A:active { color: #A0A0A0; }
A:hover	{ color: #C0C0C0; }

yet I'm sure not too many releases ago the colours were fine. Is whoever is maintaining these standard skins using a monitor with the brightness/contrast up too far?

You should send a note to JadeDragon, she maintains the skins I believe.
