Have spent the entire day trawling through the search returns from both Gallery fora and osCommerce fora. Yes, there are many people looking. No, there are no ready answers. And absolutely nothing bang up-to-date.
It's only my opinion but Gallery's one and only weakness is the absence of a workable shopping trolley;~/
Have spent a short while experimenting with osCommerce (OSC) and feel it is a very classy solution to our Gallery shopping trolley problem. However getting our albums/pictures into OSC 'automagically' is somewhat beyond my current programming capabilities (~>flat line). Yes, I can do it all the way OSC intended, one by one, but I rather think that that was designed for relatively high value products...
At first glance what appears to be needed is a Gallery-based mechanism, a PHP script, to run albums into OSC as 'manufacturers' and similarly pictures as 'products' of those 'manufacturers'. The rest is probably up to the usual hacking and designer cosmetics.
Any OSC/G1 gurus up for it;~)
best wishes, Robert
