Can't delete any pictures

I am soo sure this must have been asked before that I've scoured your forums and bug report list for a good 3-4 hours now... and cannot find an answer or mention this specific problem I'm having.

If it has been asked before, kindly tell me to keep looking. :) or tell me where the answer is found. but at this point I'm giving up.

I have installed gallery2 today and everything works great but I cannot delete a photo or movie. I *can* delete an entire album, but not a simple file inside an album.

Debug output of error is attached.

My system specs

FreeBSD 4.7
MySQL 4.0.14
Apache 1.3.27
PHP 4.3.4

I have already tried reinstalling. I have dropped entire database, deleted entire gallery2 directory, downloaded from CVS again, reinstalled, went to setup/ directly first to install . aside from some permission problem i needed to fix that broke the setup until i fixed them, install when very smoothlly.. pictures were imported from earlier version of gallery on another site.

Also uploaded a new movie but delete fails on that as well.

I appreciate ANY help you can give even if it's "it's been answered, look harder" :)

btw, I am very impressed with gallery2 so far. It is the BEST online photo online I have used and I've tried a few! I have used it for couple years now.

I've discovered that I can delete a photo inside a subfolder only after creating at least one subfolder within that folder the picture i want to delete is in. In other words, as long as a subfolder doesn't exist inside the folder where i'm trying to delete the photo, I won't be able to delete any.

Also, I have another error whenever I try to create any subfolders, I get the following...

And it looks like the folder creation failed but it does in fact get created.

just to eliminate possibility of this problem happening because of imported photos, i reinstalled again last night and uploaded a few new picures but still have the same exact problem.

Failing query as can be seen from debug info i attached is always the same.

Got it. I committed a fix for this just now. It'll make its way out to the anonymous CVS server in 6-24 hours, or you can grab the next nightly snapshot to get the fix. Thanks for the bug report!

I'm happy I was able to contribute in some way no matter how small. I will reinstall sometime tomorrow and return here with my outcome.

I installed from cvs again tonight and the delete is working just fine now THANK YOU!, however the issue with subfolder creation is still happening. I did search around for this but, again, no mention of it.

After selecting "add sub-album" in 'album actions' drop down menu, I get normal page where i add new folder name, summary, description, etc.
I click on "create". Since i am in debug mode i get the debug info which i am attaching here. I click on "continue" and get this and nothing else:

i click back browser button 3 times, hit refresh and the new subfolder is there.

I can live with this since the folder creation is not failing... :) but still an annoying bug. what is it? some new problems surfacing because o fmy version of freebsd, or somethign else? I'm curious because I don't see anybody else having these problems.

Whoops, I overlooked that part of your post. Yep, this was another issue introduced by some recent changes. I've committed the fix now .. let me know if that doesn't solve the problem for you!

thanks, I'm anxious to try it.

I'm trying to download from cvs but I wonder if there is some problem with cvs. looks like you're doing some work but it's been a few hours now... not sure if this is normal nightly backup running or forgotten cvs session or what..

nevermind... i was able to download from cvs after waiting longer...

So far everything I've played with has been working great.
