I've spent last three days digging around the net, forums faq and could not find an answer. After selecting path for Netpbm i receive a following message:

...
$gallery->app->pnmDir = "H:/SERWER/Apache Group/Apache2/htdocs/bin";
Error: I've found part of NetPBM, but some critical components are missing (see below). Perhaps your version of NetPBM is out of date? Gallery prefers NetPBM version 9.9 and up. You can install the entire NetPBM package from NetPBM on SourceForge or you can install just the binaries Gallery needs from Gallery on SourceForge. Note: You can install the binaries from the Gallery site even if you don't have root access on your box! If Gallery does not have the specific binaries for your hardware/software combination post a request On the Gallery website and we'll build them for you.
Error: Can't find jpegtopnm!
Error: Can't find giftopnm!

Error: Can't find ppmquant!
Error: Can't find pnmcut!
Error: Can't find pnmrotate!
Error: Can't find pnmflip!
.................
obviously all these files ARE in the selected path. I'm using Apache 2.0 serwer, phpNuke, and run this all on Win2K system. NetPMB is the latest 10.something binary release.

Sorry, neither we nor PHP supports Apache 2 yet. See the requirements page and the sticky note at the top of this forum.

PHP will work with Apache2 and gallery using the latest snapshot of the stable branch ( http://snaps.php.net )
