Which method is easier?

I am in the process of back-filling my gallery with my months pictures from 2003 and 2002. I have them saved on my hard drive by month. Would it be easier to upload an entire month(500-900 pics per month) and then sort them out by day once uploaded, or does it make sense for me to keep uploading them by the day of the month into the album as i create it?
