I love this product.

So much so, that Im fast reaching the storage limit with my web service- Im at 450 of 500M.

I have other locations I can store files, but they are all 500M or under. It would be great if I could split some of the files acros another server (or two).... even if I could just make the /albums directory remote from my nuke-php directory, etc.

Any ideas?

(besides paying for 1 Gig of staorage!)

This is nearly impossible. The value of Gallery is that it can modify albums on the fly. That means that you need write access the where the photos are . .. . that means they have to be on the same system.

While I guess there is a possiblilty of using ssh or similar to tunnel to another system, it was complicated and open to security bugs. I don't think it's going to be implemented.

It would also not be applicable to many people, and VERY DIFFICULT to setup securely. The work-to-usefulness ratio on this is quite high..

Yeah, that makes sense... it would have been convenient to have PHP-nuke running on one server and the gallery on another, but - such is life!

Still, awesome product.

The ease of use and ability to "get pictures online, quickly" is just fantastic.
