no thumbnails of new images after migrating server

hiho,
after migrating to a new server all seems to work well. I installed the 3.07 Version and testet the gallery. New Images could be uploaded.
Then I migrated my gallerycontent to the new server, everything ok. But now new Images have no thummbnails anymore. I updated to 3.0.9 but it is not getting better.
Problem 1: I can´t switch to Imagemagick even that I knao it is installed.
Problem 2: No thumbnails of the new images.
I tried the FAQ 3 Troubelshouting but in my /modules/gallery/helpers/graphic.php thereis is a different code!
Any guess what to do?

You can also try to change the graphics_toolkit_path in Admin->Settings->Advance to the value where IM is installed.

Also look into open_base directory as an issue as well.

thx for the answer. I changed it to "/usr/local/bin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/bin"
my IM (convert) is installed in /usr/bin. But it does not help. When in teh admin-mode I can#t see why IM does not work.

now all my thumbs are broken...

in my phpinfo() I found:

imagick.locale_fix 0 0
imagick.progress_monitor 0 0

These are php-options I got on my server:

hm , what type of php is good for gallery?

I tried the option cgi yesterday, but that was not correct.
now it works, but the thumbnails still broken.

it seems odd. Today I checked via ssh login on my server and could identify that image magick works. But the gallery cannot upöoad images. . .

Perhaps the user that php runs as does not permissions to the files or the php user might not have permisions to use IM.

Can you testwith GD as the toolkit?

thanx for your answer. At the moment it is GD that is not working on server, that why the thumbnails are broken.

In the adminpanel I can not choose imageMagick and Graphikmagick, both are faded out.
GD deos not work, I don´t know how to test GD with my ssh-login.

So how can I solve this problem? There are suexec and But I am painter not an unixexpert. I attach a file

I don't think that any of the options in your screen shot will help you. Based on the limited options you have, I suspect your new host may not be up to the task of running the software. You might have to ask your host if you are able to install ImageMagicK and GraphicsMagick from your SSH login (and if so, how - you may not have permissions to do this). Otherwise you would have to ask them if they could install both of these for you.

If GD is not working then you have a host with some very restrictive environment. GD is standard and default for PHP distributions.
As spags said your host is the one to approach.

hiho,

now I changed my serveropt PHP to: fast-cgi and enabled "SuEXEC" in my ISP. Now it works with GD at least.
It works again.
