First always troubleshoot with the default wind theme to rule out a theme issue.
When adding a item have you tried different graphics tool kits?
Admin -> Settings -> Graphics.
Look in the gallery3/var/logs when you attempt to add an item and see if it yields a clue.

That's log file content...

I'm constantly getting this error...

2014-07-15 09:10:24 +00:00 --- error: date.timezone setting not detected in /home/..................../gallery/php.ini falling back to UTC. Consult http://php.net/manual/function.get-cfg-var.php for help.

...and uploading photos error...

2014-07-15 12:55:25 +00:00 --- error: File not found: rss%2Ffeed%2Fgallery%2Falbum%2F2
2014-07-15 12:55:26 +00:00 --- error: File not found: rss%2Ffeed%2Fgallery%2Falbum%2F2
2014-07-15 12:55:26 +00:00 --- error: File not found: rss%2Ffeed%2Fgallery%2Falbum%2F2

Any more clues with this?

Check this to fix your timezone setting: http://galleryproject.org/node/109503

As for your other log entries, presumably something is playing up with your RSS module (maybe missing files or something like that). I'd start by deactivating the RSS module and then see if that stops those errors. I'd probably also be tempted to check/replace the files in your RSS module folder.

I wouldn't expect either of these to cause the problem you described though. Hopefully there is something more in your log file that you haven't listed above.

No success... have set timezone setting in php.ini now... disabled rss module and still cannot upload photos... and no nothing else in log file... those were all errors in it so I have no idea what to do with that gallery... probably I'll try something else instead... Probably will go with Coppermine... thanks for help anyway...
