[SOLVED] Some modules not showing up in the admin. modules page

Hey there, I've looked around but doesn't seem like I can find any answers.

The specific modules that don't appear (maybe more, these are the ones I want) are the "Dupcheck" and the "ARTFU" modules

- I am running the newest version of Gallery3 locally on the newest version of Linux Mint
- I made sure the modules were extracted and were in correct directory structure (modules/MODULENAME/module.info
- I've removed all other modules from the folder, still don't appear
- I've renamed the modules in the module.info file
- I've cleared cache and all that

When I had this setup on my other laptop Gallery3 picked them up without a hitch.

Any help? I'm pulling out my (beautiful) hair!

All that is needed to show on the admin page is the modules/MODULENAME/module.info file. Perhaps permissions that the server can't read the file/directory.
