Hi Everybody,

I read a lot of topics about the image size problem. Usually everyone would like to reduce the pictures but my problem is the opposite.
I do not have to reduce my original pictures. I need the untouchable pictures for archiving and post processing later.
How can I upload my files without resizing the original pictures?
Of course I replaced the "Resized image size (in pixels)" in the theme_options session or in the Advanced settings, but the original pictures size changed again. Not small, but the program did something with them:(
Maybe it optimized them.
So, I need only a copy from the original pictures. The other processes are very good. ( miniatures, thumbnails etc.)

The application is very very good and I like it.

Thanks for your help.

BR.

The original is not touched. It stays the same as what you upload.
The resize and thumbs are generated from the origianl.
If you want the resize to be the same as the original you can change the resized size in the theme options to be bigger than the original.
I'm not sure if there is any processing of the resized image if the resized size is larger than the original.

There is also the keeporiginal module (which keeps the original image in the case that you rotate it in Gallery).

Thanks for all the answers.

I have a new question :)
I would like to store, archive audio files for example mp3.
I saw there was a module for it in the Gallery 2.x but I could not find in the new version 3.x.
What can I do?

Thanks,
Zedocs

Try the http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:movie_tools module. Looks like you can add different types.

Yes, I installed it.
I wrote the "mp3 (audio/mp3)" string as same as example in the Additional movie formats field, but I get the error message: Error: -601, Message: File extension error.
I read more about this topic :D

Thanks
