I'm having trouble with albums showing but no pictures in the albums.

All of my albums are in the default location within the /var folder. This was working last week before I moved from shared hosting to VPS on Dreamhost. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Once your website is up then we can take a look to see what the issue is. Most likely related to the move.

Looks like a 'var' permissions error - check the var directory under your gallery directory and ensure it's read/write for the web user.

I changed permissions to 754 recursively to the 'var' directory. That didn't help anything.

OK, I changed them all to 777 and it works. Is this the correct permission setting?

Thought I would chime in here. It somewhat depends on how Apache and PHP are configured on the webhost. In my case, the directories are set to 755 and specific files (images) in the directories are set to 644. Anyway, the webhost's support should be able to set directory and file permissions and ownership to how it should be for their server's configuration if they are set incorrectly. For example, if the host is running with phpsuexec, then file permissions of 777 would actually cause an error.
