The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):
Gallery version:
Apache version:
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system:
Web browser/version (if applicable):

I have a a web page running Gallery 1.5: http://tucsonirishcommunity.com/gallery/.
My daughter set up and ran the web site except for things I was able to add myself. She had all the knowledge and software on her computer. She died unexpectdly this weekend, and I don't have access to her computer or even enough to tell you anything about Apache or PHP or the rest of it.
I need to upload some pictures on Sunday (St. Patrick's Day). I know the username and password for my site and created a new album and sub albums. I have a Gallery software installation file on my computer (running Win 7 Pro, 64-bit). I don't know if I need to update the gallery software on my computer (and if so, if that works with Gallery 1.5 which is on the web site). I will not be able to change the version on the web site. I remember dragging and dropping pictures into the various subfolders and uploading them to the website. Unfortunately, my daughter walked me through everything a few days before St. Patrick's Day.

I am not only a grieving mother, but I am clueless about how to get ready to post these pictures on Sunday. Please, can anybody help me on the uploading pictures side of things?

Can she help you?

Very sorry for your loss, looking through some social links I have for her I see this is the same young lady you are referring to.
I have helped her w/ her sites in the past and she was always very enthusiastic, energetic and fun.
Peace to her and her family and friends.

If i can help let me know.

Again, sorry for your loss.

Its been many years since most of us have used gallery version 1.x but it sounds like you are describing Gallery Remote or the remote applet.

this is not the only way to get images into your Gallery 1.x site.

Your daughter was a great long time member of the gallery community and will be missed.

So sorry to hear of your loss.

Please have a look at the other options for uploading and let us know if you need any help with those.

I was able to do a test upload of one picture. On Sunday I will be uploading hundreds of pictures. I was using Gallery Remote in previous years (but I understand the version of Gallery Remote I used may not work in Win 7). As I recall, there was some way to resize the jpg.s (which are taken in pretty high definition) within Gallery Remote. I don't know how to do that or what the recommended size was. Any guidance? The URL above looked like it was talking about resizing once the pictures were already uploaded, and given the volume, I need to be able to upload smaller resolution versions. Is there a Gallery Remote version that will let me upload to the 1.5.10 Gallery version that is on the website? [Please bear with what must seem like very stupid questions, but I really relied on my daughter for this type of thing and didn't take the time to learn it.]
