Give us your Gallery/webserver information to get a faster answer.
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): http://www.vorhese.com/gallery
Gallery version: 1.5
Apache version: unsure
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): unsure
Graphics Toolkit: ImageMagick unsure
Operating system: unsure
Web browser/version (if applicable): all

A few days ago I started receiving this error on uploading an image:
Resizing/compressing original image
Error: Unable to make thumbnail (0)
Need help? Look in the Gallery FAQ

I checked the FAQ and see it may involve an image processing library, which I'm completely clueless on. I've tried contacting my host and told me to come here. I'm not technical enough to understand this stuff.

FYI:
I have tried upgrading to 2 and 3 in the past, both with failed results. Luckily someone on this forum helped me through it and get a functioning gallery again.

any ideas what's up? Why it would just stop working like that?

Looks like I re-enabled exec() which I'm sure they didn't like, so they probably disabled it again.
Time for a good host. AND an upgrade to G2 or G3
