First sorry for the spelling I am dislex......

I have a list of "product line" some of which I want on some albums and some on others BUT
When I bring up the "edit this album" panel the list is longer than the browser window (not a problem I hear you say just scroll to the place you need) well you would be right BUT no scroll actions work!

On Safari, Firefox and Chrome (the browsers I have) the scroll bar stops reacting so dose the arrow buttons and keys.

Is there a way of changing the album settings (perhaps by editing the mysql database) with out using the "edit this album" panel? or some trick to getting the scroll working?

Thank you for your help.

UpDate "Firefox" scroll works

I don't understand. Are you talking about the edit album dialog like:

I see scroll on the description.

Perhaps you can make a screenshot to help us understand.

Dave

yes; in the included screen shot you can see I have a scroll bar and buttons on the right but I can't get them to work, I goto it as normail and hold the mouse button and move the mouse down but it dose not move the scroll bar, unlike the image in the secound screen shot I do the same thing and the bar moves up and down moving the content see image 3.

I hope the screen shots and this help with understanding.

Strange it seems not to be a problem with Firefox (I download and install firefox to give it a go and it's ok on firefox. Sorry to say I will not try IE

I'm assuming the extra content to the modal window is the basket module?
Not sure if it a modal window issue, a theme issue, a browser issue or a module issue. Coulod be a combo of any or all of them.
I would have to install the module that makes the modal window bigger to see if scroll bars are added.

Yes the extra content is from the basket module; each "product line" added to the the basket adds a line to the modal this alows for diffent product lines to appear in difent albums (a good/very good thing) the theme I am using is "Gray Dragon 3.2.2" and I will change it to the default and give it a test to help determin where the problem is and report back.

As you can see I changed the theme back to the default but I still had the same problem so it would appear that it is not the theme.

A side thought that you should not let distract you from your chain of thought.

".....modal window bigger to see if scroll bars are added." I have just noted this. Do you mean that the modal window can have a scroll bar? and if it's there then it douse not matter that the browswer windows bars dont work as you can use that bar on the modal window to get to the bottom?

In firefox the modal window scroll bar would not be needed as the browser window scroll bar works (perhaps this is a bug in firefox that alows this to happen witch gets around the problem of not having scroll bar in a modal window) or firefox is right and it's a bug in the other browses or both of them are right and there should be scroll bars in both the browser window and the modal window.

LOL

Without installing the basket module to test I just resized my window smaller.
I see your issue but the wheel on my mouse works. Does that help?

Mouse wheel/trackpad/trackpad gestures nothing it's as if the opening of the modal window on some browers stops the bar and buttons(the arrors) from opperating. Are you one of the devlopers/coders of Gallery? if you are perhaps if you can let me know the code of opening a window like this I can have a look(I know a little php) and also post to safari feedback at Apple as a bug?

I installed the basket module and configured it to have lots of items.
I was able to use my mouse wheel to scroll. Firefox and Chrome, windows.
