Resize Photo´s

Hi,

Due to an overkill of large pictures on my server I am running out of space.
I am thinking of resizing the large albums online. Does anyone has an idea
on what program i can use to resize a full album at once and what size you
would have to give the risezed photo´s for an optimal result in Gallery3?
