Hi all

sorry if this has already been answered but for some reason the search function is not working on this website.

I would like to know if there is a utilitiy, plugin or feature in Gallery 2 that will re-read all EXIF data from images already in a given album and rotate the images accordingly? Usually my images have this done automatically when I import images but for some reason, the last import I did, all the images are in landscape when some should be portrait.

Also, does anyone know how permissions can be done on the server (MYSQL or a GUI interface) rather than doing it through the gallery? I find that the permissions system is sometimes a little convoluted and could be made simpler (perhaps?) if such a plugin/GUI etc be made.

Unfortunately I know too little about PHP, MYSQL and all the other trickeries of the modern web-world.

Your help would be MUCH appreciated on either topic.

Regards,

Andy

Hi,

There isn't an existing tool to mass rotate items already uploaded I'm afraid.

As for the permissions, they appear convoluted because they are detailed but generally, the Gallery setup is a decent enough GUI for this.
Why not explain what you are trying to do to see if suggestions can be made?
You can often achieve things easily if you go a step up the album tree and apply permissions from there.
