Dear experts,
I've just upgraded to version 3.0.4 and all seemed hunky dory until i tried uploading new images.
I can't add ANY new photos to the album. I get the box, but once i select images it says "Unable to process this photo" (See attached image)

I've done what i can according to this page:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Troubleshooting:Uploading

Adding

Quote:
php_value memory_limit 24M

to my htaccess file gives me a 500 error.

Adding the following line right after '<?php ' in install/index.php and in index.php:

Quote:
ini_set("memory_limit","32M");

makes no difference at all.

I have the same modules as before, but now it does not work.
The ones that are ticked are:
-Aksimet
-Gallery 2 import
-HTML purifier
-Info
-Max Size
-Notification
-Organize
-RSS
-Search
-Slideshop
-Tags

Please help. :-)

Does the server add method or the html method work?

Dave

Hi floridave!
Thank you for replying to my post, it always make me warm and fuzzy when you reply, because i know I'll get a good answer! The Server add method works. I can't remember how to add the html method, and can't see it in the modules. It would be smooth to get the "normal" way working though... any thoughts on why it's not?

Also a question about the Server add method:
The path is:
/home/myserver/public_html/mysite/temp/
Uploaded images in 3 subdirectories:
Ambrotypes, Liquid emulsion and Wet plate collodion.
When i click on the "temp" folder and on the "Add" button, thinking I'll add only the 3 subdirectories, it also adds the "temp" directory as the album - with the 3 subdirectories inside. Is there a way it can add the subdirectories as albums instead of subalbums to the "temp" directory? Or do i have to add those albums separately and then go into the organize folder to move the images to the right album these?

Thanks a lot for your very helpful help as usual!

@server add: can't you go into the temp directory and select the 3 directions? (control click)

What image toolkit is selected? Can you toggle each and see if the other works?
Try a small image, say under 1k.

Good morning floridave!

The html method is not for me, then, i add so many pics, it would take forever clicking on each one.

I'm on a mac, but no apple, alt, or ctlr click seems to open the folder.

Not working. Using an image with only 4 pixels at 305 bytes (not kb). Still the same error.

I've tried with "GD version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)" inactive and activated. Same error.

I know it is not for everybody, I just wanted to know if it works.

Sorry not a mac guy to even test.

Can you activate any of the others?

Not to open the folder but to make multiple selections.

Installed the html upload model and tried it, but now when i click add photos it gives me a blank screen. See image attached.

I need to open the /temp/ folder to select the subfolders inside, but it does not open.

Perhaps this is a clue? When i activate ImageMagick it still says:
ImageMagick version 6.7.7-7 is available in /usr/bin
does not seem to activate.
On the GD it says it's active:
You have GD version bundled (2.0.34 compatible).

Not sure why it would say it is available not not be able to activate it.
There is an advanced setting that might help.

The advanced settings say:
gallery graphics_toolkit imagemagick
gallery graphics_toolkit_path /usr/bin

Ha, ha! Yes, of course... :-)
So, i guess i will leave it as is, and just be happy that the "Add from server" version is working.
Do I need the ImageMagick and GD or can i remove them again. It seemed to work before i had them.
All the best

Well, the current status is:
GD seems to have been deactivated.
Can't figure out how to deactivate ImageMagick

Add html method and Add photos does not work.
Server add works.

I don't have any more ideas how to solve this, but i can live with just using the Sever add... :-)
Thanks for this time!
